Key Insurance product is designed to give you peace of mind if your home, vehicle or office keys are stolen, accidentally damaged, lost or locked in a vehicle or property, that one of our experienced nationwide engineers will assist in replacing locks and keys up to the value of £1,500. Our Key Insurance provides cover for you and your spouse or partner, your parents or parents-in-law or your children that resides at the same address as you, for the insured keys which are lost, stolen or accidently damaged.

Up to £1,500 towards locksmith charges (replacement locks where there is a security risk following loss, theft or damage).
 
Up to £100 if your keys are locked inside your property or vehicle.
 
Up to £100 if your keys are broken in a lock or vehicle ignition.
 
Hire costs or travel expenses for up to 3 days (maximum £50 per day) if your vehicle is unusable due to insured key loss or damage.
 
Up to £300 if you are stranded due to keys being lost, stolen or accidentally damaged.

What is not covered?
  • Locks damaged over time by wear and tear or general maintenance
  • More than £250 towards keys damaged over time by wear and tear or general maintenance
  • Any incident which occurs within 48 hours of the inception of this policy unless comparable insurance was previously in place and cover continues on an uninterrupted basis
  • Claims arising as a result of the use of the vehicle for any purpose in connection with the motor trade
  • Locks which were previously damaged prior to the loss or theft of your insured keys
  • Claims where only the lock is damaged
  • Claims for damaged keys which was not caused by accidental means
  • Insured keys that are lost or damaged by accidental means by someone other than you
  • Onward transport costs where hire has already been supplied
  • Claims where you have failed to safeguard your keys
